اقتصاد زیستی: پارادایم نوین اقتصادی در عصر چالش‌ها و پیچیدگی‌های جهانی

پیچیدگی یک جنبه برجسته از جهان امروز ما است که الزاماتی را بر تفکر، نهادگرایی و حکمرانی ملی و بین المللی تحمیل می‌کند. تقریباً تمام عرصه‌های زندگی بشر از جمله اقتصاد تحت الشعاع این پدیده قرار گرفته است. اگرچه ایده تغییر نگرش اقتصادی امر جدیدی نیست، اما الزامات و چالش‌های جامع قرن بیست‌ویکم آن را از یک انتخاب به یک باید تبدیل کرده است. وقوع بحران جهانی همه‌گیری بیماری کووید-19 شاهد متقنی بر این ضرورت است که علاوه بر تاکید بر تغییر در پارادایم اقتصاد جهانی، خاستگاه آن را نیز معرفی می‌کند، یعنی علوم و فناوری‌های زیستی. پیشرفت‌های علمی در حوزه زیست‌شناسی به این واقعیت منجر شده است که به‌جای وابستگی به منابع طبیعی به‌عنوان ماده اولیه تولید، می‌توان آن‌ها را با کمک داده‌ها، مولکول‌ها و سامانه‌های زیستی بازتولید کرد. اکنون در آغاز قرن بیست‌ویکم به‌نظر می‌رسد که نوترکیبی میان علوم زیستی و علوم داده به جهشی عظیم و ساختارشکنانه منجر گردیده که جهان را در آستانه یک تحول بزرگ اقتصادی قرار می‌دهد. در این جستار، سعی شده تا به‌طور اجمال به ابعاد تحول‌آفرین پیشرفت‌های علوم زیستی در نظام اقتصادی جهان و ظهور اقتصاد زیستی به عنوان بدیل اقتصاد نفتی پرداخته شود.

Bioeconomy: a new economic paradigm in the era of global challenges and complexities

Complexity is a prominent aspect of our world today that imposes requirements on national and international thinking, institutionalism and governance. Almost all areas of human life, including the economy, have been overshadowed by this phenomenon. Although the idea of changing economic paradigm is not new, the comprehensive requirements and challenges of the 21st century have transformed it from a &choice& to a &must&. The occurrence of the global pandemic crisis of the Covid-19 disease is a convincing proof of this necessity which emphasizing such a change as well as introducing its origin, i.e. biological sciences and technologies. Scientific advances in biology have led to the fact that instead of depending on natural resources as raw materials, they can be reproduced with the help of biological data, molecules and systems. Now, at the beginning of the 21st century, it seems that the fusion between biological and data sciences has led to a huge and disruptive leap which put the world on the brink of a revolution in economy. In this article, the transformative aspects of biological science developments in the context of the global economy and the emergence of the bioeconomy as irreplaceable alternative of the oil economy is briefly discussed.
