EFL Learners Oral Communication Apprehensionand Their General Perceived Self-Efficacyacross Genders and Educational levels

This study examined the relationship between efl learners' oral communicationapprehension (oca) and their general perceived self efficacy(gpse) with gender and educational level as independent variables.the participants consisted of 160 learners of english. the instrumentswere personal report of communication apprehension and general selfefficacyscale. the participants revealed an average level of oca. no effectof gender or educational level was detected on oca or gpse. however,a negative relationship was observed between oca and gpse. thisrelationship was much stronger for the females than the males, and amongthe three instructional levels, it was the strongest for the juniors
