بررسی تاثیر استفاده از قرص مکیدنی عصاره سنجد بر میزان رفلکس تهوع.

سابقه و هدف: حالت تهوع یکی از مهم ترین مشکلات هنگام اعمال دندان پزشکی است که درمان را در بیماران مشکل و ناممکن می کند. در مقال ههای مختلف به روش های متنوع غیر دارویی، دارویی و همچنین به رو شهای گیاهی اشاره شده است. یکی دیگر از روش های گیاهی برای غلبه بر رفلکس تهوع، استفاده از عصاره سنجد است که تاثیر آن بر رفلکس تهوع در مقاله های کمی ذکر شده است، بنابراین به دلیل خلا اطلاعاتی، این تحقیق با هدف تعیین تاثیر قرص مکیدنی عصاره سنجد بر رفلکس تهوع انجام شد.روش مطالعه: این تحقیق به صورت کار آزمایی بالینی روی 45 بیمار انجام شد. گروه مورد)تجربی 2(قرص عصاره سنجد را مکیده وگروه شاهدکه مداخله ای روی آ نها انجام نمی شد وگروه پلاسبو)تجربی 1(که به آن ها قرص مکیدنی شبی هسازی شده بدون عصاره که ازنظر رنگ و اندازه و شکل مشابه نمونه اصلی است داده شد. شرط اساسی برای ورود به مطالعه، داشتن رفلکس تهوع فرد و نیز رضایت وی برای شرکت در مطالعه بود. ساخت قرص به صورت آزمایشگاهی انجام شد. سپس میزان تهوع را روی بیماران تصادفی با تحریک کام نرم بررسی کرده و بیمار میزان آن را روی خط کش glascow scale نشان داد. مطالعه روی بیماران با رفلکس تهوع بالای 10 انجام شد که قرص ها را به مدت چهار دقیقه مکیدند و بلافاصله دوباره با تحریک توسط آبسلانگ میزان تهوع را روی خط کش توسط بیمار اندازه گرفتیم.یافته ها: میزان رفلکس تهوع پیش از مداخله و در زیرگروه خفیف، در گروه شاهد 6/ 10 ، در گروه پلاسبو 8/ 10 و مورد 8/ 10 بود و همی نطور در زیر گروه متوسط به ترتیب 2/ 15 ، 8/ 14 ، 4/ 15 بود. سرانجام در زیر گروه شدید به ترتیب 6/ 17 ، 18 ، 4/ 17 بود که اختلاف ناچیزی داشتند و این از لحاظ آماری معنادار نبود ( 0.09

Effect of sesame peel extract lozenge on gag reflex

Background and Aims: Gag is a common complication during dental surgeries that can make the treatment problematic or even impossible. Previous studies have suggested various nonmedicated interventions, such as distracting the patient, behavior therapy, hypnosis, acupuncture, and some medications such as application of sedatives like Nitrox ide 30%, Midazolam, and oral Metobenzamid as well as herbal substances, such as date extract and ginger. Using elaeagnus angustifolia extract for removing Gag reflex is another method which has received very little attention in literature. Thus, we made an attempt to examine the effect of elaeagnus angustifolia extract suck pills on gag reflex in the Dentistry Faculty in 2015.Materials and Methods: A clinical trial was performed on 45 patients. Case group (Experimental 2) sucked the elaeagnus angustifolia extract tablet and control group received no intervention and placebo group (Experiment 1) was given a simulated nonextractable drink tablet similar in color and size to those of the original sample. The main condition for inclusion in the study was reflex of nausea and their consent to participate in the study. The tablet was manufactured ex vivo and then examined for nausea in random patients with mild stimulation of the palate with patients showing the appropriate level of feeling on a Glascow scale ruler. The patients with level 10 of nausea sucked the pill for 4 minutes and then we immediately stimulated them using abselang to measure the nausea on the patient’s ruler.Results: The preintervention and mild subtype of nausea reflex were 10.6 in the control group, 10.8 in the placebo group, and 10.8 in the case group and 15.2, 14.8, and 15.4 in the mean group, respectively. Finally, in the severe subgroup, the values obtained were 17.6, 18, and 17.4, respectively, with insignificant differences (P <0.09).Conclusion: It seems that elaeagnus angustifolia extract can reduce Gag reflex. However, we suggest that more extensive studies be carried out in this area.
