مبانی فرانظری کردارگرایی در روابط بین‏ الملل

کردارگرایی، یکی از آخرین دستاوردهای نظری در روابط بین‏ الملل است. این نظریه که از رهیافت های نظری مختلفی تشکیل شده، بر مطالعه کردارهای بین‏ المللی، به عنوان خمیرمایه روابط بین ‏الملل، تاکید و تمرکز می کند. کردارگرایی بر مبانی فرانظری خاصی استوار است که آن را از سایر نظریه های روابط بین‏ الملل متمایز می سازد. این نظریه، بر «مبناگرایی تکثرگرا» مبتنی است؛ نوعی از هستی‏ شناسی، معرفت‏ شناسی و روش‏ شناسی تکثرگرا و گلچینی که فراتر از دوگانه انگاری فرانظری و فلسفی رایج در نظریه های متعارف می رود. به گونه ای که در هستی ‏شناسی رابطه ای کردارگرایی، دوگانه های ماده معنا، ساختار کارگزار، عین ذهن، نظریه عمل و تکوین - تعلیل منحل می شوند. معرفت‏ شناسی کردارگرایی نیز متضمن «تبیین» یا علت یابی و «تفسیر» یا معناکاوی است. روش‏ شناسی کردارگرایی، نیز مانند معرفت ‏شناسی آن، تکثرگراست. تجربه گرایی، «استنتاج به بهترین تبیین» و تفسیرگرایی، سه روش‏ شناسی رایج در نظریه های کردارگرا هستند.

the meta-theoretical foundations of practice theory in international relations

practice theory (pt) is one of the latest theoretical achievements in international relations. this theory consists of different theoretical approaches that focus on studying international practices as stuff of international politics. this article argues that practice theory is based on specific metatheoretical and philosophical foundations, that make it a distinct theory from other international relations theories. then, the main objective is to explore and explain the ontological, epistemological and methodological foundations of practice theory. it is argued that practice theory is based on “foundational pluralism”; a pluralistic and eclectic ontology, epistemology and methodology that go beyond dualistic metatheory of some other international relations theories like constructivism. so that, in relational ontology of practice theory dichotomies of reality/mind, theory/practice, structure/agency, constitution/causation, and materialism/ideationalism are all dissolved. practice theory epistemology is a pluralistic on implying explanation and understanding, simultaneously. pluralistic methodology of practice theory is a combination of experimentalism, interpretivism and abduction or inference to the best explanation.
