رابطه متقابل هویت سیاسی جمهوری اسلامی ایران و آمریکای دشمن

با پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی و حادثه گروگان‏گیری، دگری به‏نام آمریکای دشمن به یکی از مهم‏ترین عناصر تجلی‏بخش و تثبیت‏کننده هویت سیاسی نظام جمهوری اسلامی ایران بدل شده است. این مقاله با تمرکز بر نقش هویت سیاسی، در پی ارائه پاسخی به این پرسش است که چرا پس از حدود چهار دهه از پیروزی انقلاب، جمهوری اسلامی ایران تا کنون بر رابطه‏نداشتن با ایالات متحده آمریکا اصرار می‏ورزد و در برابر تمامی فشارهای ساختاری با مرکزیت آمریکا مقاومت کرده و تن به سازش با آن نمی‏دهد؟ برای پاسخ به این پرسش، از دیدگاه‏های واقع‏گرایان سیاسی استفاده شده است. واقع‏گرایان سیاسی ضمن تاکید بر تمایز دوست و دشمن به عنوان جوهر و هسته اصلی سیاست، نیاز شدید و ذاتی گروه‏ها و واحدها به هویت سیاسی و نه ساختار یا تمایل به قدرت را مبین این تمایز دانسته و بر ضرورت حفظ فاصله با دشمن به منظور بقا و پیگیری اهداف خویشتن تاکید ویژه می‏نمایند.

Correlation Between the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Political Identity and the U.S. as an Enemy

Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the hostage crisis, a new entity, that is the United States as an enemy, became one of the most revealing and consolidating aspects of the political identity of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s establishment. With a focus on the role of political identity, this article seeks to answer the question why the Islamic Republic of Iran still insists on not having relations with the United States and refuses to make compromises with it despite all the USled structural pressure now that four decades have passed since the victory of the revolution. The views of political realists have been used to answer this question. Political realists maintain that the friendenemy distinction is the essence and core tenet of politics. They also argue that the strong and innate need of groups and entities to maintain a political identity rather than a structure or a desire for power underlies this distinction and emphasize the need to keep a distance from the enemy in order to survive and pursue own objectives.
