وقوع گواتر مادرزادی در یک گله بز، گرمسار، ایران

یافته‌های پاتولوژیک در بزغاله‌های مرده زائیده شده مبتلا به گواتر مادرزادی در یک گله بز نژاد بیتال مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. مشاهدات صورت گرفته شامل 7 راس بزغاله مرده زائیده شده با علائم گواتر، شامل یک مورد جنین‌های سه قلو و دو مورد جنین‌های دو قلو، بودند.در معاینات ماکروسکپی غدد تیروئید در تمام جنین‌ها قابل روئیت و قابل لمس بودند. جنین‌ها دارای یک تورم بزرگ در ناحیه قدامی شکمی گردن بودند. به‌دنبال برش پوست در ناحیه گردن در هر جنین، غدد تیروئیدی بسیار بزرگ با دو لوب تقریباً قرینه با ابعاد تقریبی 5 × 8 × 15 سانتی‌متر را نشان دادند.در معاینات هیستوپاتولوژیک گواتر هیپرپلاستیک (4 مورد) در بزغاله‌های دو قلو و گواتر کلوئیدی (3 مورد) در بزغاله‌های سه قلو شناسایی و تشخیص داده شد.مشاهده شد که جنین‌های دو قلو و سه قلو مستعد گواتر مادرزادی هستند. تمام بزغاله‌های مرده زائیده شده نیز دو قلو و سه قلو بودند. در حالی‌که بزغاله‌های تک قل زنده مانده و رشد نرمال داشتند.

Occurrence of Congenital Goiter in a Goat Flock, Garmsar, Iran

Clinical and pathological findings were described in stillborn kids affected with congenital goiter in a goat flock of Beetle breed in Garmsar Iran.The observations involved seven stillborn kids with goiter, including one case with triplet fetuses and two cases with twine fetuses. The thyroid glands were clearly visible, enlarged, and palpable in all the dead kids. The fetuses had a large swelling in the cranioventral neck region. Upon cutting skin in each fetus, the swelling revealed the extremely enlarged thyroid gland with two almost symmetrical lobes with both lobes approximately 15 × 8 × 5 cm in size.Histopathological hyperplastic goiter was observed in four kids and colloid goiter was diagnosed in three.Twins or triplets were observed to be predisposed to congenital goitre. All the stillborn kids were twins or triplets. On the other hand, singleborn kids survived and showed a normal growth rate.
