چکیده    Introduction: rhabdomyolysis (rm) often occurs in pediatric oncologic cases and can potentially lead to acute kidney injury (aki), compartment syndrome, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and increased mortality. in severe cases, kidney replacement therapy (krt), such as continuous kidney replacement therapy (ckrt), may be necessary. we present a case of severe rm in a setting with limited resources, where ckrt was unavailable. case presentation: this report presents a case study of a pediatric patient who developed aki as a result of rm. the patient also exhibited electrolyte imbalance and elevated liver enzyme levels. management included a combination of krt, hydration, and supplementation with curcumin and superoxide dismutase (sod). conclusions: in this case, the administration of sod and curcumin was associated with a rapid improvement in aki-related rm. although this observation is promising, further studies are needed to evaluate their potential therapeutic effects.
